To better prepare instructors to moderate Blackboard Collaborate Sessions, please attend an online Blackboard Collaborate (BBC) Demo Sessions to explore the tool in-depth. We will explore session set-up, loading content, file sharing, application overview and much more! A detailed email will be sent to participants prior to the session with preparatory instructions to set up their computer system. Please plan on attending one of these online sessions from the computer systems from which you will deliver the session on your own.
This is a full day designed to kick-start your use of Blackboard and includes the following topics: - Basic Blackboard navigation and use - Communicating with student via announcements and email - Adding content and assignments - Using Discussions/Blogs/Journals/Wikis - Customizing the Grade Center
Planning an Online Course
This workshop provides a proven methodology using Quality Matters standards for planning an online course, including an “Instructor Toolkit” of sample documents to assist in planning and building your course. Please bring an existing syllabus to class. (3 hour workshop + online component).
