Ok – so my first new years resolution is to post more often, having failed to do so much in 2008. But in order of priorities, building a kick-ass booking and reservation system, came before writing nice blog articles, so there you go. 2009 is the year we really start to move things up a gear however, and lots should be happening so I’m going to try to keep things more up to date.
The last few months of 2008 were pretty manic. The London start-up scene was a hive of activity, and BookingBug was there to do its bit. From OpenSoho, to the excellent Twinterval there were many great dos and networking events to attend.
The highlight of the Christmas events however was the Techcrunch talk and party, organised by the stalwart of the London scene, Mike Butcher, UK Editor of Techcrunch. BookingBug were there to pitch, for which you can see here courtesy of Hermione Way of Newspepper and TechFluffTV
The rest of the videos of the other 7 pitches can be found on Techcrunch here, there were some great start-ups pitching at the event and well as some good panel discussions.
The pitch competition was finally won by the excellent Nick Bell from QuickTV, but not daunted by being beaten, BookingBug went on to win the much coveted (and frankly more important anyway) ‘Techcrunch Air guitar championship’ thanks to an excellent performance by Mrs BookingBug which is also featured on Techcrunch!
BookingBug, the rockingist start-up in town !!
